My very first blog!

Hello! or Ola!

Welcome to my very first blog on Network Lteracy from Conor Stroud & on blogger!

Today's blog is about me finishing my recent outcome in which I uploaded on Moodle. This outcome was split into 2 parts. Part 1 asks me to do 3 main segments and that includes
Describing the process of connecting to a computer network
Set-up a network connection without assistance
& Explain the need for personal and network security.

To do this, Jorge (who is my tutor for this subject) asks me to provide screenshots to give evidence that I can achieve this. The objectives for the 3 main segments are for the following:
Configure my iPhone to connect to a 4G network
Connecting to the college Wi-Fi network
Connecting to a wired network within the learning environment
& connecting a Bluetooth device to another device.
Unfortunately, during the making of this task I was unable to connect into any devices but my Bluetooth was definitely on throughout.

Part 2 asks me to do the following:
Configure a network connection to match personal preferences and security needs

The objectives for the main segment are for the following:
iPhone security settings including security of devices for example switching off Wi-Fi automatic-connection function
A wireless router configuration of wireless connection with password for secure network (that objective is to do so at home)
& a firewall being enabled on a computer.

Like Part 1, I must give evidence that I can do these segments.

And I think that's it! Hope you like this blog and I will hopefully do another blog very soon.
Until then,
Ciao! for now...

  1. Hey Conor, it's James.

Looks like you understood what to do, as this blog shows. I had some problems with that Bluetooth thing as well, but I managed to get it working eventually, not quite sure what was wrong. Maybe it depends?

Anyways, good blog. Mine's ended up being a bit too formal in my opinion. That's all from me, see you.
